Gardens and parklands are central to life in Britain and Ireland. For centuries the size and grandeur of one’s gardens was the surest way to one up one’s noble neighbor. With each passing year, more and more of these phenomenal gardens are open to the public, and for the ones that are still under lock and key, our knowledge and relationships help ensure travelers see the very best public and private gardens.
We often create personalized journeys around the time of the Chelsea Flower Show. Travelers spend a few days in London at the flower show and then hit the countryside. Most of the great castles and stately homes are surrounded by lush gardens so there is much to see and do. At the end of a busy day exploring, guests can return home to hotels that we have specifically chosen because they have their own exquisite gardens like
Great Fosters,
Bodysgallen,
Glenapp Castle, and
The Bath Priory.

With a similarly perfect climate for gardening, Ireland also has a wonderful garden culture. Just south of Dublin, County Wicklow is one of the world’s most stunning garden regions and is referred to as The Garden of Ireland.
Wicklow, home to
Rathsallagh House and its lovely walled garden is best known for Powerscourt, but there are hundreds of other marvelous gardens throughout the country and many are featured on the grounds of our Irish Celebrated Hotels such as
Cashel House in Connemara and
Glin Castle on the Shannon.
